Australia-Germany Business Conference

22 October 2008 - THE WESTIN hotel, SYDNEY

The Conference will offer presentations, panel discussions and interactive Q&A on the repercussions of a changing regulatory and business environment in the context of climate change, energy and sustainability issues.  "Prosperity and Energy:  Towards a Sustainable Future" - the topic of this year's Conference - presents an insight into the current views on sustainable economies, security and efficiency of energy sustainability, the price of renewable energies and the effect on mobility in logistics and transport.

Keynote speakers include Juergen Fitschen, Member of the Group Executive Committee Deutsche Bank, Alan Oster , Chief Economist of the National Australia Bank and senior executives from Siemens, BMW, Bosch, Schenker, RWE AG, Schott and EPURON.

Unfortunately, due to the current global financial crisis, Mr Michael Glos, German Federal Minister for Economics & Technology is now unable to attend.  However, this enables keynote economic speakers Juergen Fitschen and Alan Oster to provide more detail and discussion in the opening sessions of the Conference program.
